Together with other changes in immigration policies and regulations, a new improvement was applied to Caregiver program in 2015. Instead of “live-in”, the caregivers can live out and come-and-go to provide care-giving service to the employers’beloved ones.

The new caregivers program consists of two pathways:

  1. Caring for Children (in a home)
  2. Caring for People with High Medical Needs (for the elderly or those with disabilities or chronic disease in a health facility or in a home)

Both pathways can help a qualified caregiver to apply for permanent residency after two years of full-time working with accredited minimum-one-year education and language ability.
